Auxiliary Bishop Thomas Löhr with some of the sisters of the convent

The St. Elizabeth Nursing Home in Bad Soden am Taunus has a reason to celebrate. For more than one hundred years (since October 7, 1923), the Thuine sisters have lived, worked and prayed here. This is a reason to give thanks! A very festive Holy Mass was celebrated by Auxiliary Bishop Thomas Löhr of Limburg with the sisters and invited guests, and with music from harp, organ and trumpet.

The Mass was followed by a ceremony in which Reverend Mother Maria Cordis gave an opening speech and Professor Dr. Susanne Czech-Winkelmann then shared a very lively history of the home.

In the afternoon, our celebration continued with the residents and their families, who enjoyed coffee, cake, music and a presentation. It was a very successful celebration, bringing joy to all.

Deo gratias for 100 years of St. Elizabeth Nursing Home in Bad Soden!
